Alpha Testing

Alpha Testing

EloGrade is currently in the alpha testing phase. Typically alpha testing is an internal only testing phase. While we have done such things as mechanical turk and such to test the system, what we really need are people representative of the EloGrade community to test the application, so our internal test is external. Being in an early test phase though has many ramifications.

Small size of community

There are not a lot of users on EloGrade yet, so it could mean that it takes a while for others to compare your photos. Because the algorithm tries to avoid having the same people compare the same photos, it can take a while to get a rating done. Please be patient, and this will become less of a problem as the community grows.

Bugs and instability

During the test, bugs may be present and we'd like to know about them. Please use the feedback link at the bottom of the page to report bugs, ideas, and anything else you'd like us to know.

Though EloGrade will try to keep it to a minimum, there could be outages to service during the testing phase.

Because we will continue to tune the algorithms involved, the rating you receive during the alpha testing phase may change. Most likely it will not change much, but that is something to be aware of.
